We try to offer a complete and comprehensive boarding and training experience for your horse and for the rider. We have specialized programs to make you the best rider that you can be. We offer a combination of private and group classes to ready our riders for the show arena. We do have a limited number of stalls that are available for pleasure riders as well. We do have specific hours of operation, but our staff is on premises 24/7. We currently are filled to capacity and have a waiting list; but do not be discouraged, because we would love your inquiries and welcome riders who are ready to learn and be part of our team. Training & Boarding Rates Boarding: $665 per month Board includes six-day stall cleaning and quality daily care. For clients seeking an elevated environment, deluxe accommodations are available and include a heated lounge area, full lockers, and added privacy. • Early Payment Courtesy: $15 discount when board is paid by the 7th of each month • Late Payment Fee: $25 applied to payments received after the 25th of the month Shavings Schedule Shavings are provided Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Additional 40 lb. bagged shavings may be purchased on Sundays for $10 per bag. Training Programs Full Training Program $500 per month (in addition to board) Horses competing on the “A” Circuit are required to remain in full training from March 1 through the final show of the season. This comprehensive program includes: • Professional training rides for the horse • One private lesson per week on the rider’s show horse • One group lesson per week on a school horse Show horses will be worked: • 3–4 times per week, including the rider’s private lesson or • 4–5 times per week if the rider elects not to take a lesson Our training philosophy emphasizes developing skilled riders through experience on multiple horses. Participation in group show practice classes is strongly encouraged as an essential component of rider development. Lessons are scheduled weekly. Make-up lessons are not available. If a rider is away, the scheduled lesson time will be replaced with an additional training ride for the horse. Additional lessons may be scheduled at the standard lesson rate. Partial Conditioning Program $400 per month (in addition to board) Horses competing on the “B” Circuit must be enrolled in at least the Partial Conditioning Program unless they are OTR. Program includes: • Two professional training rides per week • One private lesson Lesson Rates Head Trainer – Martha Hoyt • $63 per half-hour — Riders on their own horses • $88 per half-hour — Riders using school horses Assistant Instructors • $63 per half-hour — Riders on their own horses • $88 per half-hour — Riding school students using lesson horses Group Lessons • $28 per class — Riders on boarder horses • $38 per class — Riders using lesson horses Grooming & Horse Care Services Show Clip: $30 per clip Body Clip: $135 per clip Individual Training Ride (non-training horses): $45 per day Turnout Services $50 per month for two turnout sessions per week (in addition to board). Please note: staff are not responsible for removing or replacing blankets or sheets. Owners should ensure horses are appropriately blanketed for turnout conditions. Feeding & Supplements We are happy to administer supplements with daily feedings provided they are: • Pre-portioned into individual containers • Clearly labeled with instructions Gratuities for feeding staff are always appreciated. Horse Sales & Purchases All horses bought or sold through Palos Hills Riding Stables, Inc. are subject to a 10% commission. Horses purchased off property must be acquired with the involvement and guidance of a trainer. All individuals must have a signed boarding contract, release and a signed Barn Rules sheet in the office. |
Horse Show Rates:
If show fees are not paid prior to show, you may not go to show. If there is any outstanding bills prior to show, you may not go to show. All shipping fees are dependent on show. Day Rate is $150.00 per day. This includes the preparation of your horse daily for shows...grooming, bathing, braiding, etc. Show clip: $30.00 Body clip: $135.00 Cart and Harness Rental: $150.00 Bridle or Saddle Rental: $25.00 Tail Switch Rental: $40.00 per class Hotel fees, tack stalls, extra feed, and shavings purchased at the show will be included in the flat rates, as well as gasoline surcharges. A one-time sundry fee will be charged for "B" shows of $35.00 on first bill. A one-time sundry fee will be charged for "A" shows of $50.00 on first bill. Leasing for show: Above rates apply. Tipping of show is to be expected and is 15-20% of the show bill. All horse show bills are to be paid 5 days after show. We reserve the right to collect fees for those shows that are more expensive in nature by collecting 50% prior to the show. If you have any previous fees that are owed, you will not be allowed to go to the next show until all fees are paid in full. |
